Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time – Church Picnic Under The Trees

Today we will be holding our worship service outside on our yard at 10:30 am, assuming weather permits. This means that we will not be live-streaming today’s service. We will also be hosting a picnic following the service, which will also be held outside if the weather cooperates.

Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Mission is a word we’re familiar with as Christians. We use it a lot. And we may have heard (and even believe) that every Christian is called to be a missionary in their own way. But what does that mean? Well, Jesus gives us some instructions today. But instructions that maybe sound unlike our usual understanding of what it means to be a missionary. Let’s listen in.

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Another beautiful and soothing message from Jesus…it just might take us a while to find it!

Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Demons. There’s a topic that will stop any conversation cold. And yet we all have them. So maybe the conversation we really need to have is what we’re doing with them. And what might God have to say about that. Off we go to the land of the swineherds!

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

The Holy Trinity Sunday

So, Holy Trinity Sunday. The only special day in the church calendar that celebrates a theological doctrine. God as one and yet three, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Maybe makes us wonder if those who made up the calendar were just trying to keep seminary professors happy. Or maybe there’s more to this Holy Trinity talk than meets the eye, or the ear. Come along and join the dance!

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

Ascension of Our Lord

Heads up!… That’s a bad Ascension Day joke. A really bad Ascension Day joke. But this day itself is no joke, as obscure as it might be to most Christians. So what can it mean for us today that Jesus ascended to the Father? Maybe the answer lies, once again, with those slow-witted disciples. Just what do they have to teach us this time?

Sixth Sunday in Easter

“Give peace a chance.” That anthemic protest chant of the late 60’s might be the cry of our hearts these days with the multiple crises and conflicts stressing our world. But which peace is it exactly that we need to give a chance? Today we return to the night in which our Lord Jesus was betrayed to hear him weigh in on that question.

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

Fifth Sunday in Easter

Ever notice how sometimes the simplest things in life can also be the hardest? “Love one another,” Jesus tells us today. Easy for him to say. Hard for us to follow. But maybe we can find some help in the bizarre story of the disciple Peter and a vision of the strangest buffet ever. Let’s see what’s cooking in Joppa.

Fourth Sunday in Easter

Happy Mother’s Day to all deserving moms! This is also Good Shepherd Sunday. No real connection there other than the fact that shepherds are usually symbols of motherly comfort. But today they also point us to a truth that might not feel all that comforting, at least at first. Green and slightly unsettling pastures await!
