We are an intergenerational church community that values highly the presence of children in our midst. To that end, when we are able to gather, we offer the following programming for children. At the present time this programming is suspended but will resume when we are able to gather again.
Currently our Sunday School is not meeting in-person. Instead we are offering a bi-weekly online Sunday School session through Zoom. Families are invited to pick up craft and treat packets from the church the week prior to a session. You can check to see which dates these sessions are scheduled by consulting our calendar. If you are interested in receiving the link to a session please contact the office.
Under normal circumstances we offer a Sunday School for all kids from preschool (age 3) to grade 6 which meets every other Sunday morning during the service. Kids are also part of our worshiping community. They gather with the congregation in the Sunday service for a children’s sermon before Sunday School and rejoin the service following their class. The children also prepare a Christmas Program for the congregation and are involved in our Easter Sunday morning service. We hope to return to this pattern as soon as it is safe to do so.
Vacation Bible School
For one week every July we offer a daily program of fun and learning known as Vacation Bible School. Every morning during this week kids from the congregation and the neighborhood gather to sing, make crafts, enjoy drama, eat, play games, and learn about the Bible as they travel through a series of interactive stations. It’s always a high-energy time of fun and friendship that helps the kids to explore in an engaging way the Bible’s message of God’s unconditional love for them and all the world. Watch for updates on our website about the program for the upcoming summer.
