It’s been said that the beauty of Jesus’ is parables is that they have many meanings. And then there are parables like the one we have today where we struggle to find even one meaning. Like Jacob wrestling with the angel at the river Jabot we long for the blessing of some good news out of these disorienting words. But maybe it’s closer than we think. At least from one perspective.
