Today we enjoy the worship leadership and preaching of guest pastor Marlys Moen. She’ll bring us the good news and administer the sacraments. Which means she’ll be working on this Sabbath, much to the chagrin of any Pharisees present. However, the gospel reading will set them straight, and free us to hear the good news of our God who, in the words of our psalm, is “full of compassion and mercy, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.”
