Easter Sunday

It’s Easter Sunday! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed. Alleluia! It’s time to end our Lenten fast…whatever that might have looked like for you. But while we talk about what’s ending, Jesus talks about what’s beginning. Maybe not a bad conversation to have in a graveyard.

Also, today we will begin with a breakfast at 8:30 am including some hot egg dishes, home made cinnamon buns, and other treats. And then at 10:30 am we pump up the joy with an Easter service and a shout or two of “Christ is Risen!”
Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

Palm Sunday

As human beings we like either/or propositions. Black and white resolutions. Which means that this Sunday maybe can cause us some consternation. Is it Palm Sunday or Passion Sunday? Well, the church in its wisdom says its both/and. Because that’s how life is lived out isn’t it? So join us as we explore what God has to say to us in the midst of the messiness of our both/and life.

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

  • Good Friday – We gather at 10:30 am for a Tennebrae Service (which centers around the gradual extinguishing of candles with a reading of the Passion). Click here for the bulletin.
  • Easter Sunday – All are invited to come for self-service breakfast at 8:30 am, including some creative communal artistic expression for all ages, followed at 10:30 am by an Easter celebration service.

We hope you will be able to celebrate and worship with us. All are welcome.

Fifth Sunday in Lent

Our gospel reading today is the wonderful story of the raising of Lazarus. Where Jesus proclaims those powerful words, “I am the resurrection and the life?” So which of those do we believe in the most? The resurrection or the life? And whats the difference anyway? Our sermon today tackles that question. And our choir sings a classic spiritual that will get your “toe bones” tapping.

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

Fourth Sunday in Lent & Healing Service

We all know that we can learn a lot from examining our past. If you’ve ever done one of those DNA family heritage tests you’ll know what I mean. But when can examining our past become a hindrance to living into our future? That’s a question that our gospel raises for us today. And one that’s actually relevant to the whole subject of healing. We join together for a healing service on this Fourth Sunday in Lent.

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

Third Sunday in Lent

Is there anything more vital to human life than water? Not much. Except maybe living water. So why do we so often resist receiving it? Today we read about a woman who was confronted with that question. And the discovery she made that left her bubbling over with the stuff. We continue our Lenten journey with a stop at a well in an inhospitable place.

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

Second Sunday in Lent

On this second Sunday in Lent, we welcome Pastor Cliff Reinhardt to lead us while Pastor Eric is away.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

Soup ‘n’ Sing & Holden Evening Prayer

Starting today, every Wednesday evening in March we will be hosting our annual Soup ‘n’ Sing at 6 pm followed by our Holden Evening Prayer at 7 pm. Please don’t hesitate to contact the church for more information.

First Sunday in Lent

On this first Sunday in Lent we head once again into the wilderness with Jesus to reflect on temptation. But I wonder if our toughest temptations are the ones we hardly ever recognize. Let’s follow the advice that the voice from the cloud gave the disciples last week and listen to Jesus. As usual he’s got something important to say.

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.
