Christmas Day

Merry Christmas everyone!

What laid in a manger last night echoes throughout the universe this morning: the light of life, eternal and abundant. Light that enlightens everyone. Light that no darkness can overcome. Light that shines through the fragile flesh of One full of grace and truth. And we are born again!

Our service today will be at 11am both in-person and live-streamed on our YouTube channel.

The bulletin can be found here at a later time.

Christmas Eve Services 2023

“To you is born this day a Saviour…” Imagine receiving that news in your inbox! Tonight we don’t have to. Its news proclaimed to us straight from God’s living word. And we are freed from under “life’s crushing load” to live in the light of a love that changes the world.

Tonight we will be hosting two Christmas Eve Services, the Family Candlelight Service at 4pm, and the Candlelight Service with Holy Communion at 10pm.

The earlier service at 4pm will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel, with the video being posted here.

Fourth Sunday in Advent

Today is a busy day. Just as the morning of that first Christmas Eve must have been. But before we get to the birth there’s the announcement to Mary. The perplexing questions. And the faithful acceptance of a call. An acceptance perhaps more miraculous than even a Spirit-induced pregnancy.

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

The bulletin for the service can be downloaded here.

Christmas Pageant 2023 @ St. Laurence

Linked below is an uploaded version of the 2023 Christmas Pageant which took place at St. Laurence Anglican Church.

Third Sunday in Advent

There will be no worship service held at Good Shepherd today, instead, there will be a joint Sunday School Christmas Pageant and worship service instead at St. Laurence at 10:30 am (live stream accessible through St. Laurence’s Facebook page here

It won’t quite be a multitude of the heavenly host. But worship this Sunday will feature the little angels of the combined Sunday Schools of Good Shepherd Lutheran and St. Laurence Anglican bringing us the good news of great joy in their annual Christmas pageant. And all who partake will be sent away glorifying and praising God for all they have heard and seen. May it be so so with you too.

Second Sunday in Advent

Comfort and joy. Two words we’re probably hearing around us a lot these days. Comfort is also what Isaiah speaks of this morning. But theres comfort…and then there’s comfort. And its that second kind of comfort that John the Baptist proclaims to us today. Which might sound strange coming from him. Let’s head out to the wilderness to see!

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

The bulletin for the service can be downloaded here.

First Sunday in Advent

We begin a new church year where we usually do each Advent, at the end of our featured gospel. In this case thats Mark where we receive a horticulture lesson from Jesus that sets our spiritual agenda for Advent.

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

The bulletin for the service can be downloaded here.

Christ the King

What is the main criteria for faithfulness? True belief? Moral purity? Exemplary church attendance? In our gospel for this Christ the King Sunday we explore Matthew’s parable of the last judgement. Can there be good news lurking in these sobering words?

Today’s worship service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel at 10:30 am. Join us live, or watch the video here at a later time.

The bulletin for the service can be downloaded here.

Thirty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

Bob Dylan once sang, “You’re gonna have to serve somebody.” So true. There are masters in this world that want to hold us in fear. And masters that invite us into an unexpected joy. Our parable today challenges us to ask ourselves, “Which master do we hear the loudest?”

Today’s worship service will be both live-streamed and in person at 10:30 am.

The bulletin for the service can be downloaded here.
